Word Import Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

   Word Import is a monday.com app made by Westsmith Ltd ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information Word Import keeps when you use it, why, for how long and who can see it.

2. What we keep, and why

   • Your permission to create docs. When you give Word Import permission, monday.com gives it an access token for your account. We keep it in monday.com's secure storage so Word Import can create and update docs for you. It's removed if monday.com rejects it (for example, when you or an admin remove the app's access).
   • A record of each import. For each import we keep: the Word file's name, the doc's name, your monday.com account and user IDs, the IDs of the doc, workspace, folder, board and item involved, when the import ran, how far it got and, if it failed, why. These records give you the Word import jobs page and let us help if something goes wrong. They're kept for 30 days, and you can delete them sooner from the jobs page.
   • The Word file, only while it's imported. A file you upload is stored while it's imported and deleted as soon as the import ends. Files on your boards are read from monday.com during the import and not kept. Pictures and embedded files are removed before upload, so they never reach us. The content of your documents isn't kept after the import.
   • Error reports and usage events. We use Sentry to find and fix problems, and to count how Word Import is used (for example, that an app was opened or an import completed). These include your monday.com account ID, the app's version, your browser and IP address. When something goes wrong, an error report can include details of what was being processed at the time, such as file names, IDs and short extracts of the data involved.

3. Where it's kept

   Word Import runs on monday code, monday.com's own hosting, in the monday.com region your account uses. Error reports and usage events are kept by Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) in its EU region.

4. Who can see it

   Westsmith Ltd can read import records and error reports, to support you and fix problems. We don't sell or share your information with anyone else, or use it for advertising.

5. Your choices

   You can delete your import records at any time from the Word import jobs page. Uninstalling Word Import, or removing its access, stops it from acting for you. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email us.

6. Changes to this policy

   We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date.
